Please vote for me in the Bodgie Awards.

I know, horrible, horrible. But I'm so close! I had no idea my Morgan Le Fey and my writing with [info]ronsonbeck had such an effect!

If you love me, do it!
If you fear me, do it twice!

Leave one memory of you and me together. It doesn't matter if I know you a little or a lot, anything you remember. Next, post this in your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

First of all,

Thank you to [info]silveroak for the great books from Amazon. I was a little thrown off, since I haven't seen/talked to him in quite a while and was like, "Arooo?" when I saw the Amazon box on my step.

Seems he had a large credit from Amazon and sent a lot of his friends from LJ he knew that had wish lists some books from their individual lists. How cool is that? :) Again, many kudos.

Go and buy the new Fiona Apple CD. Even if it's just for the first song, which is so quirky and gorgeous.

I bought the most irreverant pair of shoes. Clear lucite sandals that LIGHT UP when you walk. Nathan almost wanted the same pair, but I got him in some new sneakers instead. He did have fun in the Sz 10 shoe aisle (yeah, I've got big feet. Cute and neat, but big). I said to the lady behind the counter, "I have no reason to buy these shoes, I have no outfits they match and they're strappy sandals in the middle of rainy October, but they LIGHT UP!!" She laughed. ;)

I treated myself to a manicure/pedicure. Sometimes, ya just gotta be girlie! I love the color.
Not So Bora Bor-ing Pink, just on my toes. Haven't painted my fingers, but my toes look divine, dahlings!

Thanks to everyone who wished me well yesterday. It was pretty bad and your love and support truly helped. I did manage to sneak a nap, in my fabulous chair, with candles softly glowing. It made me feel a little better.

I'm possibly going up to COtD on Friday night, possibly in costume, which should be fun. You all know what a CRY BABY I am, so I'll be clinging close! It's different when you're performing than when you're viewing. Oh, brother! *shudders*

Despite a SUCKTASTIC morning (I'll go into details later), I've still managed to keep a somewhat positive attitude. I am down, but don't count me out. I took Nathan for a walk in the rain, just to get out of the house. He splashed in every puddle possible, keeping me smiling, taking the umbrella from me and maintaining my sanity.

He just had lunch and I'm finishing up some laundry. I'm debating cleaning my personal room, but I'm feeling edgy and want comfort that cleaning isn't going to provide. I feel on the verge of tears...or a nap. And I can't do either. *sigh*

Just a little rain must fall...

Yes, I'm awake...

Nathan had a nightmare/wet pants so he's in my room in the bed with Dan. I'm relegated to the futon to keep my sanity. Two boys in the bed making all that breathing racket drives me nuts. I can't even go in my room to my favorite chair since both OJ and Flake think it's their chair. Sheesh! Nobody shares...

So, I had dinner on Friday night, to one of my favorite places, was a bit noiser than I remembered, but the food and conversation was fabulous. The weather was this amalgam of sweet air and humidity, which flew through the trees and made me stop and twirl. *giggle* Rain came down softly on the way home, which makes me want to stand in it...or splash in it...or dance in it. It's funny how weather can make you do cartwheels...maybe it's just me...

Anyway...

Off to get a drink of water and try to sleep the rest of the night...

Nathan update:

We went to see the Pediatric Neurologist and he said that Nathan has good comprehension and cognative function, so he doesn't have Asperger's as far as he's concerned. He did say that he has significant expressive verbal delay.

Expressive verbal delay?.....My kid?....With a screech like a velociraptor?

Yes, Virginia, he does have expressive verbal delay. His screeching like a howler monkey on crack is his way of saying, "Hey! I'm not understood and I'm mad!"

So, more speech therapy, more reading, more interaction with kids. Enough said. :)

I bought the best chair yesterday at Target. A large circular chair, similar to the Papasans at Pier 1 Imports, but on a metal frame. It's dark grey cord fabric to which I added a bright red microsuede throw, some comfy blankets and a purring black cat. Oh boy, what a great place to sit and think and write! Furiously write! It's my new favorite place in the house because it's MINE! ALL MINE! *insert evil laugh* I've always had to share and now, I'm not incredibly fond of sharing! Mine!!!

I was not at KRF on Saturday. I wasn't there with permission and previous clearance so, no grief, please.

I did have a fantastic weekend. It was marked and dotted with so many amazing things. It ended on a hard note, since Nathan was very needy and off his routine, so he was all over me and not being co-operative, but a great weekend nonetheless.

I may be doing COTD, but have to check my schedule. Should be interesting. Something about Halloween makes me want to be covered in blood!

Ahh...the joys of CatLoafdom.

Now, as you may or may not know, I'm not a big fan of my cats. Don't get me wrong. I love animals and wish them no ill will, but they're very very needy for cats.

Last night, however, I was Dr. Doolittle and was revelling in my felines. I had OJ on my leg, totally splayed, like a huge loaf of cat and Flake to my left, all puffy and fluffy with his eyes closed. I surprisingly didn't mind this cat-atonic state they put me in while watching "Survivor".

All hail the CatLoaf!
